As an RV owner ourselves , we understand what it takes to keep an RV in tip top shape. Working on our RV and family members' RVs is what motivated us to get the training and learn about these systems in the first place. Below is a sample list of the areas of training.
Hour rate
$150
Our shop rate is $150/per hour. All service pricing - including packages - is based on this rate
Basic pre purchase inspection
$295 - $495
Check the safety items, make sure the RV is in good condition, Tell you if it is not
Full pre purchase inspection
$695 +
Going through the RV with a fine tooth comb and inspecting everything and includes a full report with pictures and comments
Annual maintenance package
$595+
Complete inspection of the RV to determine the condition of the RV. Inspecting to find any issues that need to be addressed. This is an all inclusive inspection for a currently owned RV
Repair and Preventive maintenance
Regular RV maintenance is essential to prevent costly repairs, ensure safety, and extend the life of your RV. Review our process below
Water heater
- Flush and clean tank (if applicable)
- Inspect and replace anode rod or plastic plug
- Check and clean burner and heating element
- Test gas pressure and inspect for leaks
- Inspect electrical connections and operation
- Service includes tankless water heaters
Heater
- Remove and inspect housing condition
- Check and clean burner and electrode
- Check electrical connections and operation
- Test gas pressure and check for leaks
- Check and clean fans
- Clean and inspect burn chamber
- Inspect ducts for damage or leaks
Air conditioner
- Check and clean filter
- Check and rinse condenser fins
- Vacuum debris from evaporator fins
- Check and straighten fins
- Clean drain holes
- Check electrical and operation
Absortion refrigerator
- Check and clean burner and electrode
- Check gas pressure for leaks
- Vacuum debris from areas around unit
- Check clearance specifications
- Inspect cooling unit for leaks
- Check electrical connections and operation
- Check heating element and power connection
Breaker box torque
- Tighten each screw to the proper torque specifications
- Check for broken or burnt wiring
- Check shore cord and RV exterior socket
- Check for hot skin condition
- Inspect breaker and fuses for damage
- Vacuum area behind breaker box (if accessible)
- Test safety devises dates and operation
Plumbing and gas inspection
- Check water lines for leaks
- Inspect plumbing for damaged pipes
- Check toilet for leaking and proper operation
- Check for water damage at all water connections.
- Check all plumbing fixtures for leaks and operation
- Lube value gates (if accessible)
- Preform propane system test (free at all appointments)
Roof inspection
- Check for possible water leaks
- Inspect roof top units for damaged covers
- Clean and inspect plumping vents
- Check seals at front , rear and sides for missing or damaged caulking
- Check for missing or damaged screw covers
- Check for rips, tears or loose roofing material
- Check caulking around roof mounted fixtures
Wheel bearing repack, brake system and suspension check
- Remove and inspect wheel hub, magnet, brake shoes and wiring
- Clean inter and outer bearing packs and inspect for damage
- Repack inter and outer bearing packs with "Lucas" red and tacky grease
- Reinstall in hub providing a new grease seal and cotter pin (if applicable)
- Torque castle nut to 40 foot pounds per spec, then backed off to hand tight.
- Reinstall tire with proper torque per spec
- Inspect tire wear and tire date
- Inspection of leaf springs, shackles, equalizer wear or crakes
- Check axle for ben
Waste tank rinse out and declog and waste valve replacement
- Rinse grey and black tanks of some left over waste
- Relieve drain pipes from left over waste and clogs
- Lube valves (if assessable)
- Limited to three tanks
- Tanks sensors may still read incorrectly
Slide room seal clean and inspection
- Slide room seals will be wiped down inside and out
- Slide seal inside and out will be inspected for damage
- Slide room will be checked for proper operation
- Side walls, ceiling and floor will be inspected for water damage
- Roller will be inspected for wear or damage
- Slide mechanism will be inspected for damage or misalignment.
Exterior seam seals, door seals all other seals
- Inspect the entire RV from front to back for missing or loose caulking
- Check door, window, hatch, slide seals for missing or loose caulking
- Inspect front and rear caps for cracking
- Check seals around ladders, lights, catches for missing or loose caulking
- Check for delamination
- Check for damage to fiberglass siding
- Complete re caulk cost will need to be discussed ($1000 +)
General Repair
- Tighten loose screws
- Change out broken roof vents
- Replace water pumps
- Change broken low point drain valves
- Fix awnings and replace awning fabric
- fix electrical stairs
- All those other little things that break
- Woodwork new and repair
- Help with generators
